On Wednesday (April 30), Aerosmith’s Steven Tyler and Joe Perry reunited to perform together at a San Francisco benefit concert raising funds for Janie’s Fund, Tyler’s nonprofit organization supporting vulnerable women. Alongside an all-star band, the notorious “Toxic Twins” played a series of classic Aerosmith hits like “Toys in the Attic” “Same Old Song and Dance,” “Sweet Emotion,” “Dream On,” and “Walk This Way,” and a couple of covers. The Black Crowes’ Chris Robinson, Cheap Trick’s Robin Zander, former Guns N’ Roses drummer Matt Sorum, and Extreme guitarist Nuno Bettencourt also performed at the event. Despite Aerosmith announcing their live retirement in August 2024 due to Tyler’s vocal cord injury, the singer previously performed at his annual Grammy Awards watch party – which was another benefit for Janie’s Fund – and he was also just added to the lineup for Black Sabbath’s historic farewell concert in Birmingham, England on July 5.
