Jack White has had a long-standing reluctance to perform concerts in Philadelphia. The last time he played in the city was in 2006 when his band The Raconteurs opened for Bob Dylan, and he has not headlined a show there since 2002. While White has never publicly addressed his apparent aversion to Philadelphia, rumors suggest it stems from a negative experience with The White Stripes in the early 2000s. However, there is one thing that can bring White back to the city: his lifelong love of baseball and his goal to visit every Major League stadium. This past weekend, as documented on his Instagram, White finally checked Citizens Bank Park off his list, attending a game between the Philadelphia Phillies and his beloved Detroit Tigers. Fortunately for White, the Tigers emerged victorious, but unfortunately for Philadelphians, the musician left town without performing a concert. (COS)
