John C. Reilly portrays the title character in the new music video for Jack White’s No Name standout, “Archbishop Harold Holmes.” The video was directed by Gilbert Trejo, and Reilly is credited with creating the concept of the clip, with the idea coming to him upon first hearing White’s song. Reilly preaches to his congregation from the altar of a Los Angeles church, as blue lightning bolts shoot out of his hand while he lip-syncs along to the song lyrics. Reilly is fresh off his own album release, What’s Not to Love?, as Mister Romantic. “I looked at our weary world a few years ago and tried to think of a way I could spread love and empathy,” Reilly said of the project. “I decided the most fun way to do that was through performing and singing and telling people I loved them. So the emotional vaudeville show Mister Romantic was born, out of both hope and despair.” (Rolling Stone)
